In 2011, short after my grandmother left her flat for the retirement house, I methodically filmed each and every room, still filled with her belongings and her history. She passed away a few months later.

Since July 2013, my father, my boyfriend and I slowly started to renovate the flat ourselves. I regularly documented the works and the process of transforming the space. Besides showing the physical changes made to the place, those images reveal various modes of occupying a space.
